WordSlinger's Review

Summary - Bad 1.0

Overall this movie is as predicable and formulaic as every other Aeriel killer with a unique MO film out there. The plot had potential but never lives up to much of anything, and instead of making any kind of statement about American’s obsession with “torture porn” is just mimics it.

Acting - Bad 1.0

Notice how the poster is just a big picture of Diane Lane? That should tell you more than enough. Her performance is the only decent one, and the rest is just background noise.

Male Stars - Bad 1.0

Female Stars - Bad 1.0

Female Costars - Bad 1.0

Male Costars - Bad 1.0

Film - Good 3.0

No complaints here, everything looks well done, but there’s nothing special about it either.

Direction - Good 3.0

Dialogue - Good 3.0

Music - Good 3.0

Visuals - Good 3.0

Edge - Risqué 2.4

Some of the torture scene can be pretty graphic. There is a short but graphic shot of a suicide as well as several shots of skin being melted away. No sex and only mild language though.

Sex Innocent 1.3

Violence Savage 4.0

Rudeness Salty 1.8

Reality - Glib 2.0

Though the movie is clearly based on Internet voyeurism and America’s obsession with watching sick/shocking stuff on camera, the idea that someone would be able to get away with such acts for more than a day is not believable.

Circumstantial - Glib 2.0

Biological - Glib 2.0

Physical - Glib 2.0
