Summary - Really Great 4.5
I held back from watching this for a very long time — having ‘chick flick fobia’…. Instead I was pleasantly surpised to be greeted with a very engaging tale, awesome cinematography, solid acting, and yes — I even fell for the romance, which offered both the straight forward love story as well as added twist of the jealous younger sister. Speaking of the younger sister — the three actresses (Saoiris Ronan, Ramola Garie, and Vanessa Redgrave) that portrayed her through her years — outstanding. A big bonus for me was the top notch war scenes. This movie has something for everyone, and the ennding? Atonement indeed.
