Set in the rough “Dead End Hill” neighborhood of Rio, City of Men focuses on the lives of the neighborhood youth and the little dramas around them. It is shot in a documentary style, with scenes that bounce back and forth between the characters and their stories. The stories themselves were very engaging, from simple survival, to senseless violence, loyalty and friendship, and having fun – the range of living is covered and you come away feeling like you have learned alot about the kids in this corner of the world.
