Summary - Really Great 4.5

This was a tremendously written and directed thriller about a 14 year old girl Hayley (Ellen Page) dealing with a 30-something pedophile Jeff (Patrick Wilson). As the other reviewer mentioned — I couldn’t stop watching! (The true hallmark of a great thriller IMHO) The story is well told and the acting excellent. The story itself is what I’d call an “intelligent thriller” in that the the twist is teriffic and surprising (as long as you don’t read spoiler reviews), and it leaves you questioning your own assumptions about what is really going on and just who is the “bad guy” anyway? The film must have been a risk to produce as the subject of pedophilia is somewhat taboo — but, if you are going to watch something about the subject — and its related gray areas — this is definitely the movie — see it!
