BrianSez's Review

Summary - Great 4.0

This movie was a delight to watch. An whimsical journey in to the lives of two young boys. Will, the product of an austere mother and religion and Lee, a mischevious troublemaker band together to make a movie – which is a product of Will’s amazing imagination and Lee’s industriousness. This story of friendship and the inclusion of an increasingly eclectic group of kids provides plenty material for lots of laugh-out-loud moments touching scenes as well.

Acting - Great 4.0

Bill Millner and Will Poulter show a remarkable level of maturity as actors and I dare say I could not find much fault in their performances. The rest of the cast are extremely well rounded and chosen expertly for what they add.

Director Garth Jennings finds a great blend of whimsy, drama, and humor that weaves together in a seamless way that transports you to this outlandish storyline. Setting the film in 80’s England adds a great complimentary touch.
