This movie was riveting but at the same time very uncomfortable to watch. A story about two orphaned girls newly transplanted to the home of their aunt — who perpetuates her horrible behavior with her boys as well. This movie will likely shock you. In the end, I really became enraged at what I saw when I thought about how it was based upon a true story.
The actors all did a really great job in this movie. The mischevious boys, their evil mom, the fear and pain in the girls.
The direction and filming was excellent. The realism in the shooting made the film all the more alarming. No need for ominous sound effects or accentuated dark shots to make it scary. The story was scary enough, and the believable nature of the acting made it horrifying
Off the charts — not so much because of what you see, but because of what you know to be happening.
I honestly hoped that it wouldn’t be realistic – but this movie was based on a true story.
