BrianSez's Review

Summary - Good 3.0

An effective thiller set on a Transsiberian train that pits an unwitting couple against the seamy world of 90’s Russia’s crime scene. Plenty of action and drama set in Siberian Russia holds your interest, but I enjoyed the build-up more than the concluding scenes. All in all very enjoyable.

Acting - Good 3.0

Woody Harrelson is great as an all-American traveling neophyte and Emily Mortimer delivers majorly well acted drama in scene after scene. Eduardo Noriega was impressive as the drug runner and Ben Kingsley could have done his role as Russian drug-copy with his eyes closed.

Film - Good 3.0

Loved the setting – both the train, and the Siberian landscape and grody little farm towns. Other than dragging on a bit from time to time and an over-done ending I thought the film was well done.
