Demona's Review

Summary - Good 3.0

A bachelor is haunted by the ghosts of his past girlfriends at his younger brother’s wedding- imdb.

Alright, cute movie. If you like romantic comedies, you’ll like this one. Though it’s a cheesy knock-off of “A Christmas Carol”, it certainly has it’s own flare. That’s basically the summery right there. I know that you guys out there are not going to go out and watch the movie on your own, but bring your girls, they would like it as much as I do. You’ll at least get a few laughs out of it, I did.

Acting - Good 3.0

Matthew McConaughey-Conner- a playboy photographer, and it seems like his major goal in life basically, is to nail every woman in the world. Overplayed, I know. But it just turns out that he has to go to his brother’s wedding and while ruining it, he gets visited by 3 women, which incidently are not all ex-girlfriends, and in true meaning of “Christmas” turns his ways. But instead of being synical to the world about absolutely nothing, he’s more synical about love in general.

Jennifer Garner-Jenny- a young girl from Conner’s past and closest friend. But is there more…

Michael Douglas- Conner’s dead playboy uncle. Very cool if you ask me, come on, it’s Michael Douglas…

Male Stars - Good 3.0

Female Stars - Good 3.0

Female Costars - Good 3.0

Male Costars - Good 3.0

Film - Good 3.0

From “A Christmas Carol” to " A Diva’s Christmas Carol" to “An American Carol” to this film, different people, different settings but all in all the same movie. This one is pretty interesting though, the whole movie revolves around this one guy and these “ghosts” trying to hook him up. Just trying to help him love again.

Direction - Good 3.0

Dialogue - Good 3.0

Music - Good 3.0

Visuals - Good 3.0

Edge - Tame 1.0

Hot girls like Christina Milian, and a few choice others, getting down to nothing but under garments, I have to say… quite hot. Now, now guys, no nudity, but still hot to look at, only bad part is that all of that is at the beginning of the film. then you wind up with some mushy stuff. But ladies, this is definately something to pull the heart-strings a bit. Other than that though, no real edge. Unless, you don’t watch movies often.

Sex Innocent 1.0

Violence Gentle 1.0

Rudeness Polite 1.0

Reality - Natural 1.0

The ghosts, not so much, but I can see how someone can look back and realize what he’s lost and what he’s ruined and try to go back and fix it or at least if not for himself, but for someone that he actually does care about.

Circumstantial - Natural 1.0

Biological - Natural 1.0

Physical - Natural 1.0
