Summary - Very Good 3.5
Really fun movie. The girlfriend and I saw this movie a few nights ago, and while we weren’t peeing ourselves from laughing extremely hard, we did get many laughs and giggles out of the film. The characters work well together, though I have to admit that I wanted Insectosaurus to die die die die die. For a kids’ flick, this is a fantastic option that incorporates humor and monsters that are fun, harmless, and likeable, but if the kids are really young, they may be frightened by some of the action scenes. As a random last thought, I would have liked a little more character development, but they gave almost enough :-)
Acting - Perfect 5.0
The voiceover artists did a great job, and what a lineup! Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Will Arnett, Kiefer Sutherland, Rainn Wilson, Stephen Colbert, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Ed Helms, Renée Zellweger, and John Krasinski. Great casting!
