Summary - Really Great 4.5

A Vampire warrior, by the name of Selene, is fighting the Lycan clan to defend her race. That is until she meets Michael, a mortal that is being chased by the Lycans and Selene is desperated to know as to why. In the mean time, as she’s trying to find out what the Lycans want with Michael, Selene must also find out what she’s not being told about how the war began.

Acting - Really Great 4.5

Selene – Kate Beckinsale – Van Helsing, Pearl Harbor – She plays the role of an imortal warrior very well, strong and self-sufficient. I very much enjoyed this character.
Michael Corvin – Scott Speedman – xXx: State of the Union, The Strangers – Protrays himself as a scared mortal very well, but in the end I love how he got involved.
Lucian – Michael Sheen – Blood Diamond, Kingdom of Heaven , Timeline – A new look into the Lycan race. I loved how he presented himself in the film, kinda “scary”, but totally in control.
Viktor – Bill Nighy – Pirates of the Caribbean (Davy Jones), Flushed Away, Hot Fuzz – Does very well as a Vampuric Noble and presents it just as well. Very pompous and arrogent… well played sir!

Film - Really Great 4.5

The CG, background and the soundtrack, I thoroughly enjoyed. I like the new spin on an old tale. I especially like how they thought to initially start a war between the races. ( you just need to watch now don’t you? ) I did have a hard time with the cops… I know who they worked for, but where did they go afterwards and their characters were pretty quick. Other than that, I did enjoy how dark the film was and how they decided to make the Lycans. The vampires were pretty traditional, and that I REALLY loved. I love all of the dark colors, mostly blues and blacks, some greys and some whites… but all in all a very dark world, perfect concidering the creatures involved. The fight sequences were very cool, showing the accrobatics that both races have, and how talented they are in combat. Not to mention, I love the outfits and make-up! lol! Sue me, I’m a girl! I Really want their wardrobe…lol!

Edge - Risqué 2.4

Pretty rough, a LOT of fighting, and pretty bloody; of course not in a gorey type of way though. No breasts (sorry guys), but a LOT of lying and backstabbing…

Reality - Supernatural 4.0

Supernatural but my fantasy. I’m just a sucker for the dark tales of the earth! That would be pretty cool if any of this could really happen, because at least these clans know how to control themselves, to an extent, by being able to live among mortals. Like I said, I’m a sucker! lol!
