Summary - Good 3.0
Both complex and well coordinated, Snow Angels is a drama about intertwined lives weaving through life impacting struggles. Other than opening with the worst rendition of Peter Gabriel’s Sledgehammer that I have ever heard, Snow Angels turned out to be one seriously well written drama. Not for casual viewing though, you have to concentrate and stick with it. And if you do, you will be rewarded with great character studies and true emotion instead of a sappy melodrama suitable for the daytime soaps — which lesser acting and direction would have turned this in to.
Acting - Good 3.0
The two main characters, “Arnold” (Michael Angarano), and “Annie” (Kate Beckinsale) are the main-stays and do a really great job, but especially liked Sam Rockwell as Annie’s struggling ex hubby and Nicky Katt as the sleazy cheat.

The biggest kudos for this film go to the writer and director David Gordon Greene. Some serious drama in these lives is not easy to portray in a consistently entertaining way, but Greene pulls it off.
