BrianSez's Review

Summary - OK 2.5

Take 2 parts unrealistic story, 2 parts non-stop action, 1 part half-hearted acting, sprinkle on a little romance, and that equals Eagle Eye. In other words, the best part of the movie is its action sequences. Even though the story is completely unbelievable, the action holds your interest and is entertaining enough for a Netflix rental when you’ve got nothing better to watch.

Acting - Barely OK 2.0

I’m not sure why, but I can never seem to take Shia LaBeouf seriously. The drama his attempts just never seem genuine. Michelle Monaghan is decent, but doesn’t seem to live up to her potential. Billy Bob Thornton came through well, but also seemed to be under-shooting as well. The other notable supporting actress was Rosario Dawson who does a decent job and gets credit for trying harder.

It’s the action in this movie that is fairly well done. Too bad the wacky story and the ho-hum acting detract from it so much. Great action scenes though.
