moviedude's Review

Summary - Good 3.0

An interesting but unrealistic plot recycled from a novel. It does certainly keep your attention on the screen most of the way through, however.

Acting - Very Good 3.5

John Travolta is a good “tough guy.” His role is insane, and so his his character. And very convincing.

Male Stars - Great 4.0

Denzel Washington plays humble hero. His performance is honest and gripping and definitely deserves positive comments.

Female Stars - Good 3.0

Female Costars - Good 3.0

Male Costars - Very Good 3.5

Film - Good 3.0

A good helping of “likable.” This deserves no Oscar, but it’s something to watch, enjoy, and even watch again. A truly exciting, and well-acted motion picture.

Direction - Very Good 3.5

Dialogue - Good 3.0

Music - Good 3.0

Visuals - Very Good 3.5

Edge - Sordid 2.8

Sex Innocent 1.5

Violence Brutal 3.5

Sadistic point blank shootings make the violence in this film gritty and hard to watch, but it's not without a point.

Rudeness Profane 3.5

An f-bomb here, f-bomb there, two f-bombs here, they're everywhere!

Reality - Glib 1.7

Circumstantial - Surreal 3.0

Biological - Natural 1.0

Physical - Natural 1.0
