Summary - Perfect 5.0

A great story of war, masterfully told throughout its entirety. It’s a thrill to watch, a thrill to listen to, and most of all, a thrill to live. Once again, a story told wonderfully.

Acting - Great 4.0

Tom Hanks doesn’t act like a good soldier, he IS one. Same for Matt Damon.

Film - Really Great 4.5

An all out terrific film with terrific acting and visuals. That is something not usually said about most movies. Great direction too. If there is a best war film ever, this may be it.

Edge - Sordid 3.0

Brutal war violence with bodies being eviscerated and blown up. Graphic stuff.

Reality - Natural 1.0

Realistic filming and battles.

  I haven’t seen Private Ryan end-to-end since it came out. Now I’m thinking I ought to rescreen it so I can weigh in.
