A creative retelling of Niel Gaiman’s frightening tale. Henry Selick adds to the story, but doesn’t stray far from what the book was trying to get across. A perfect spine-tingling film for children.
Good acting all around from Dakota Fanning and others.
An excellent film throughout. Fear is forced into the audience whether they want it or not. The animation is beautiful and anyone, whether they like the occult or not, with laugh, and shiver at this masterpiece. (Yeah. I went there).
Relatively tame in terms of violence, but monstrous themes and implications steer the movie away from families with young children.
Nothing in the film could take place. Everything from the talking cat to Coraline’s name is completely unrealistic.

Regarding Johnny Pace’s Review
Wow Johnny P. Terrific review (as usual) and quite an endorsement. I’m gonna keep this one in mind.
