izzio's Review

Summary - Perfect 5.0

I’m going to start by saying this is one of my personal favorites. Although it may not me one of Miyazki’s best, it’s still a masterpiece on its own. I’ve seen both the english subtitled, and the english dub, and I am very suprised how close the 2 are. Usually dubs only take the most important aspeccts of dialogue, but the way the did it in this movie was very well done, and they managed to make the words match the mouths. Anyways, this movie is such a treat to see, since every little part of it is just perfect. The movie is truly an adventure, as it starts out in hat shop, and ends up in (I won’t spoil it) something much more “complex” than a hat shop :). The film could possibly leave you with a tear in you eye, as it did for me.

Acting - Perfect 5.0

The english dubs were absolutley perfected, as they matched everyone’s mouths, and only had one or two issues.

Hayao Miyazaki will never fail at making a film. Something I must mention is the visuals. They were so amazing, beautiful, grim, and magical. You have never seen a 2D animation movie like this.
