Summary - Pretty Bad 1.5
I remember watching this turkey, I was over at a friends house and he popped the disc right in. I sat down thinking “Hey, this looks stupid, but it could be fun stupid.” Boy, oh boy, was I in for a shock. This is one of the worst films of 2009. This movie was just a totally boring and dull “action” movie. I thought maybe if I turned off my brain while watching it, maybe it could be one fun filled ride. But no, it was ride that nearly put me to sleep. By the time this movie was over, I was DESPERATE to move on with my life.
This movie was nothing more than a blatant rip off of “The Running Man”, the action and camera work was poorly done, and it just annoyed me to the point of insanity!! Many would disagree and say “This movie is like ‘GI Joe’ and ‘Transformers’, you gotta enjoy the ride.” Well, I gotta a question: “How can I enjoy a ride thats totally boring and utterly stupid?”
Acting - OK 2.5
The acting is very mediocre. Gerard Butler, while proving to be pretty good over the years, doesn’t do much for me in this movie. Michael C. Hall was pretty laughable doing a poor southern accent and and a pointless dance scene. The rest of the cast, which include John Leguizamo, Terry Crews, and Kyra Sedgwick, aren’t worth mentioning. They all do their thing but they’ve been much better in a lot better movies.

Like I said, the action and camera work were done very poorly. It was shot in the dark at points and it was hard to make anything out. The dialogue is just plain silly and makes no sense.

All I can say is do NOT let the kids watch this. There’s sex, violence, and everything else that gives enough excuse to put em to bed.
