singing to the rhythm of the “Star Wars” theme**** Borrring! This was so borrrring!! This was so borrrring!!! Oh my gooood!!
Valkyrie is one of the most boring movie experiences I’ve ever had. The lack of suspense and poor acting completely ruined this movie for me. I nearly fell asleep while watching it. Since I saw it for my friend’s birthday(great way to spend it, right?), I was unable to walk out of the theater. The movie was too long and since I did my history homework, I knew how the film would end.
This movie tried to be an edge of your seat political thriller and failed, in my opinion. Too many flaws to count. However, for all those counted flaws I think if you’re ever going to watch the film, watch it when it airs on TV. That way, you won’t have to waste your money and if you don’t like it, change the channel.
We have some terrific actors working in this movie. I’ve never seen a horrible performance from any of these actors. However, some of the actors such as Kenneth Branagh and Tom Wilkinson just don’t seem to be trying. They come off as though they are bored with the script and with the whole movie(as I was). The worst actor in the whole film has to be the movie’s star, Tom Cruise. You can’t just walk in front of the camera, say your lines, and expect an oscar. You have to actually put in a little effort!!!
The story just dragged and since I already knew what was going to happen in the end, it just felt daunting. You should be able to keep the audience interested even if they know their history. The visuals were pretty good. The explosions looked real.
Nothing more than a little violence.
Well, it IS based on a true story.
