Summary - Great 4.0

Yes! The first good horror movie of 2010 (Shutter Island doesn’t count)!! Because this is a remake of the classic Romero film by the same name, I was a bit skeptical at first, but wow was I shocked. First off, The Crazies is actually SCARY- something not too common in movies today. The jump-out scares almost made me piss my pants, and some of the scenes were so intense, I loved it. The zombies were absolutely horrifying, and at times I felt a bit uncomfortable. This may not be masterpiece, but it’s definitely a memorable fun-filled blood bath worth seeing in theaters.

Acting - Perfect 5.0

Timothy Olyphant, along with others, was phenomenal. He had me extremely convince that he really was his character. Also, the people that played the crazies were amazing. Though not shown much, you really got the feel that they were insane (or crazy for that matter).

Film - Perfect 5.0

I LOVED the atmosphere in this film. It was incredibly creepy, just like in any good zombie film. The blood was extremely realistic, so that’s a plus in a movie like this. Some of the scenes were FANTASTICALLY done- the car wash, the nursery, and the quarantine pitch-fork scenes. They really stood out because everything was just so hectic, or it was just scary.

Edge - Risqué 2.3

Gore-lovers, here you go. There are a countless number of realistic shootings, a knife goes through a man’s hand and into the floor, and probably most disturbing, a zombie stabs a pitch-fork through two people. Extremely realistic sound effects are heard, and it is shown in great detail.
