A great story about friendship and determination with a very SLOW start. You might want to bring a pillow for the first half hour or so.
Relatively good acting from Jaden Smith, who is indeed Will Smith’s son. Also, Jackie Chan adds to the movie in both a refreshingly humorous, and dramatic way.
A good film that lags at times, but entertains overall. People will flock to the theaters because of Jackie Chan, but this isn’t his average role. He’s much more mellow and quiet and only fights when he absolutely has to. This will disappoint some, but it wasn’t a problem for me.
Nothing much to alarm parents here, except for some hard kicks to the head during fast, fierce martial arts sequences.
Some unrealistic kicks and moves during the tournaments a the end, but other than that, a realistic movie.
