“Get Him to the Greek” was hailed as the new “Hangover” by some. Those “some” are onto something. This film takes aim at sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll. A hilarious plot involving a British rock star who has reached rock bottom, and a lovable oaf who is introduced to all the things he is against meet, all hell breaks loose and lessons are learned.
Great acting from Jonah Hill, Russell Brand, and others, as well as hilarious cameos by a variety of pop-culture legends. Touching moments between Aaron Green and his girlfriend give the movie heart.
With Judd Apatow’s fresh brand of humor and originality, Jonah Hill’s goofy reasonable sense of fun, as well as Russell Brand’s part animal ways clash, hilarious fun and a touching conclusion emerge. Laughs are constant all the way through, and you will be sure to enjoy this movie.
Not for children, teens, or some adults. With language and content worse than “The Hangover,” steer young ones away from this film.
Basically a realistic film, some scenes are pretty exaggerated, however.
Regarding Wick’s Review
Yep. I’m well known for loving smart and really funny comedies. This one scores big time.
Regarding Wick’s Review
Great review, Wick. I was surprised to see the movie get a Perfect 5. I guess I have to see it now, haha.
