BrianSez's Review

Summary - OK 2.5

This movie is sort of like the 8-cylinder version of the A-Team’s 4-banger. As you would expect from any Stallone movie, plenty of violence-laden action abounds, sometimes in a disconnected sort of way – but to be sure, watching bad guys get their heads blown off is an all American macho form of entertainment that Expendables caters to. Of course, besides bad guys, the good guys have girls to go after (er, rescue) also. Good fun if you are in to this sort of movie!

Acting - Good 3.0

An all-star cast of the action-adventure genre: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke – and even a short stint by Arnold himself. They actually make a good group together. Stallone gets kudos for thinking of throwing them all in a post together and crafting up a good stew of action acting. The mainstay was Sylvester and Jason, but I really liked Mickey for the more subdued role he had to plan.

Airplane works. It’s a waste of your unlimited Netflix rentals though :-P

    Regarding MetalJunky5000’s Review
Happy to hear you liked it MJ, though your commentary seems more qualified than the 4 beam Great you gave it. Thus I’m thinking I might wait for Netflix or an airplane ride to catch it.
