Transformers: Dark of the Moon is a sequel in its purest form. Capitalize on what your fans want, then give it to them in a big way. I watched this film in 3-D format at an IMAX theater. The combination packed a punch! Not only was the movie action packed and filled with chair-gripping action sequences, but in the large 3-D format, I was literally blown away. This is the type of movie that 3-D was meant for. Regarding the plot – it is pretty much what you’d expect: good vs. evil story re-incarnated. Predictable, but still very fun.
Shia LaBeouf delivers his trademark understated hero persona. About what you’d expect., but nothing to write home about Josh Duhamel does a decent job as the corrupt bad dude. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the newcomer love-interest. Not much going on there except for good looks.
Great action; great effects; good use of the tried-and-true good vs. evil sequel format. See it in 3-D!
