Summary - Really Great 4.5

My Little Eye is yet another horror movie that went through releasing hell. Originally four hours long, the movie was received horribly by critics. The movie was then completely forgotten after 9/11. So it was another lost straight-to-dvd movie. This one, like Trick ‘r Treat, is fantastic. First off, it stars a young Bradley Cooper, and he does a great job. The premise of this movie is TERRIFYING. People sign up for an “online gameshow-esque thing”. It doesn’t turn out that’s what it really is. The atmosphere of this movie is indescribable. It’s….. FEROCIOUSLY, DISTURBINGLY, UNSETTLINGLY, UNNERVINGLY, TERRIFYING. The use of winter time makes this movie SUPER claustrophobic. The way this movie is very grainy makes it even more terrifying. The movie carries on this slow and unnerving tone until about the last quarter of the movie, where, let me say, I’ve never been so startled in my life. The twist is amazing, and the way it’s done is…. well it almost gave me a heart attack, it startled me so much. Definitely check this one out.

Acting - Perfect 5.0

Everyone gave excellent performances.

Film - Perfect 5.0

Everything was perfect. The sound effects, the lighting, the atmosphere, the WRITING. The writing was absolutely genius. Nothing it blatantly explained, so listening to little clues dropped in dialogue helps.

Edge - Risqué 2.0
