BrianSez's Review

Summary - Good 3.0

Intense docu-thriller about an evangelical minister who performs theatrical exorcisms – believing they do good even though they aren’t real – simply because of the psychological benefits. Well, in this film he gets in over his head as he and pair of film-makers are overwhelmed by creepy behavior that gets over their heads. Creepy “Blair Witch Style” filming, nonstop suspense and unexpected twists make this movie a sure horror-crowd pleaser.

Acting - Very Good 3.5

Patrick Fabian as the reverend Cotton does a great job. Reminded me a bit of Woody Harrelson, but with a more down to earth appeal. Ashley Bell is awesome as the possessed Nell. Linda Blair would be proud!

The film deviates a bit from the exorcism formula by shooting in the herky-jerky documentary style, and twisting the ending in a way you might not expect. Good job.
