BrianSez's Review

Summary - OK 2.5

Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman are tireless warriors for the crusade who decide to leave the cruelty. Unfortunately, they aren’t done yet and are instead faced with their most difficult job yet – escorting a witch to an abbey to be exorcised. If you are a fan of gothic-age tales of sorcery and witchcraft, you’ll probably be entertained. After all, there is plenty of swordplay, magic, Christian-mythology, etc. However, if you have a more critical eye towards films, you’ll likely be frustrated at the sometimes cheesy and meandering tale with an over-the-top ending.

Acting - Good 3.0

Nicolas Cage is as you’d expect – magnified drama and his special brand of vulnerable machismo. Ron Perlman, well – he was a decent side kick –but he’s way better in Sons of Anarchy.
