Summary - Great 4.0

The Avengers is a comic superhero powerhouse that will be tough to top by anyone attempting this type of genre on the big screen. Loads of action with bigger than life heroes tackling some awesomely bad dudes. This movie starts off with a minimum of back-story then starts in fast and furious and doesn’t let you breathe until the end. Exactly what you came for!

Acting - Very Good 3.5

Robert Downey Jr. – by far my favorite as the narcissistic Tony Stark / Iron Man. Great quips and quotes that inspire most of the laughs in the movie

Chris Evans – very good but somehow not that memorable steadfast and pure of heart Steve Rogers / Captain America

Mark Ruffalo makes an awesome Hulk. Not sure why, it just works!

Chris Hemsworth – Big muscles, straight faced Nordic Thor – another well matched actor.

Scarlett Johansson – That skin-tight suit is discracting! But, she is kick-ass in the role as well.

Tom Hiddleston – fits the part of the evil Loki – I expect we’ll see him again

Samuel L. Jackson – who else could lead a bunch like the Avengers other than Sam as Nick Fury. Not many

Gwyneth Paltrow – Did Pepper Potts’ legs get longer? Gwyneth adds eye candy, but not much else.

Film - Great 4.0

Marvel would be wise not to tinker too much with this formula. Just keep-em coming, and let the $$$ roll in.

Edge - Risqué 2.0

Reality - Supernatural 3.8
