BrianSez's Review

Summary - Good 3.0

Colin Farrell is an ex-con who gets a job looking after a reclusive actress (Keira Knightley). The film highlights his desire to go straight and how it drives him to fight back with the gangsters who want to keep him in their fold. London Boulevard starts out a bit slowly and scattered, but becomes a fun to watch gangland crime drama towards the end. Plenty of tough action and brutal conflict that will keep you entertained.

Acting - Very Good 3.5

Colin Farrell is a natural at this sort of role, with his muted emotion and believable toughness.

Keira Knightly doesn’t have a whole lot to bring to the acting table other than her good looks.

Ray Winstone is the true star of this movie with his no nonsense gangster boss schtick. I would cast him in more roles like this without hesitation.

David Tewliss was great as the gay-ish assistant with with a 60’s hippie flair and penchant for pot

Anna Friel a nice cast addition as Colin’s slightly deranged sister
