The perfect cult classic. A musical about a mad scientist who also happens to be a transvestite, and an alien from ‘Transexual Transylvannia’. Did I mention his name is Dr. Frank N. Furter AND he’s played by Tim Curry? I don’t think you can get much better than that? Ah, it can! Meatloaf (the singer) makes an appearance.
Is there anything sexier than Tim Curry, in drag, singing in that voice of his? Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick play the unfortunate couple who stumbles upon Dr. Frank N. Furter’s castle and do a wonderous job of it. Supporting cast are an essential part of this movie also, and they do not disappoint.
Campy, low budget movie. The production is deliciously cheesy. Remember also, this was made in 1975.
These aliens are all about pleasure. There are two (though shadowed) sex scenes shown. Explicit lyrics, skimpy costumes and the like.
Way, way out there in fantasy land.
