Fans have come to expect a certain kind of film from the famous Quentin Tarantino; A film that is uncannily cinematic, surreal-ly violent, and rife with dark humor. When Quentin meets slavery and the wild west, you get all of that with well, a western flair and a pointed slap-down of slavery. Along with stellar performances from well known screen greats making their mark on the Spaghetti Western genre, and you’ll have a horse-riding, gun-slinging good time.
JamieFoxx and Christoph Waltz are the new Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid. Jamie Foxx goes strong and silent along with his cool demeanor. But I was really surprised by Christoph Waltz, who steals the show with his huckster-like approach.
Throw in Don Johnson and Leonardo DiCaprio as plantation and slave owners for a special treat. Especially DiCaprio who I think just loved being in a Tarantino film; He and his character just seemed to relish the violence.
One of the best performances was from Samuel L Jackson as the head-slave. With a mind for the dumbed-down dramatic, he and his stare are memorable indeed.

About Samuel L. Jackson “he and his stare are memorable indeed.” I’m with ya Bri.
