Snoodle's Review

Summary - Perfect 5.0

Amazing movie will have you on your feet and bursting with joy! Sounds cheesy right? It’s the truth though. A fine example of British comedy and brimmed with stars. Somehow manages to thread together nine different stories (yes, nine) in a glorious tale of love, loss, and comedy, with an ending not to be missed for the world. A happy love story for adults with quick humour and sharp wit, a fantastic holiday movie!! (If you can find a copy that is!)

Acting - Perfect 5.0

Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Alan Rickman, and Bill Nighy are just the tip of this star packed iceberg and they all play into it like pieces of a well cut puzzle. Bill Nighy especially, stealing any scene he’s in as a burnt out rock star who spends too much time with his under-appreciated manager.

Dialogue - Perfect 5.0

Music - Perfect 5.0

Perfectly synched musical choices send the scenes soaring and bring the ending to the most amazing climax!

Visuals - Perfect 5.0

Almost surreal in how clean and colourful the decor is, the holiday decor compliments it nicely and gives the movie a cozy feel.

Edge - Obscene 4.8

Talk of sex. Crass language. Two of the characters have jobs as models for pornographic magazines (which involves simulated sex, though they’re talking about other things whilst doing this). Topless women are shown. If you consider Bill Nighy wearing little more than boots and a well placed guitar whilst singing, that’s there too :p.

Sex Explicit 4.8

Violence Monstrous 4.8

Rudeness Vile 4.8

Reality - Surreal 2.7

Fantasy elements, majorly circumstantial. However, a lot of fun!

Circumstantial - Surreal 2.7

Biological - Surreal 2.7

Physical - Surreal 2.7
