Summary - Very Good 3.5
Don Jon highlights a subject that I’ll bet many guys in a transition to ‘real’ adulthood identify with. How much is too much? Driven by porn and good looking women – Joseph Gordon-Levitt is drawn like a moth to Scarlet Johanssen’s flame. But there are bumps in the road that are both funny and awkward. And that’s the feeling I got during this movie. Plenty of laughs and awkward moments. In the end, very good entertainment.
Acting - Very Good 3.5
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is good and Scarlet Johanssen is great in their ‘Jersey Shore’ schticks. Juliane Moore brings some old school flair, and Tony Danza is perfection in the beer-stained, football watching, tank-topped dad role.
