Interstellar holds up and more to the recent spate of great sci-fi greats (Gravity, Oblivion, Edge of Tomorrow); The cast is outstanding, and the premise of the film has enough “real science” to pull you into the realm of contemplating the plausibility of it all. Throw in great space scenes, lots of action and suspense – and you’ve got yourself an all around great space entertainment. My biggest complaint? They ran out of plausibility at the end, and it was a bit of a let down. Don’t let that dissuade you from seeing the movie however, you’ll get your money’s worth and then some.
Ok, let’s go through this: Matthew McConaughey, John Lithgow, Anne Hathaway, William Devane, Michael Caine, Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain,…. need I continue? This was an awesome cast with really great performances all around. McConaughey and Chastain are the shiny workhorses, and they deliver big time.
Regarding BrianSez’s Review
“They ran out of plausibility at the end.” Yes they did. Great line, BTW.
