Summary - Great 4.0

Although there was a bit much in the way of plot going on for my taste, I loved Guardians. I loved the way it takes your usual superhero fare in new directions – namely the endearing weirdness of some of the characters (Bradley Cooper’s Rocket the raccoon and Vin Diesel’s Groot) coupled with a throwback to the old-school self-absorbed cowboy hero (Chris Pratt’s ‘Star Lord’). The others were very good as well. You gotta love Dave Bautista’s Drax and Zoe Saldana’s Gamora; both really round out the team. The package is worth at least a few sequels as the motley crew is pitted against all that is evil in the universe, but with some great humor that is mostly absent in other superhero flicks. I’m looking forward to that.
