There is a reason it was untold until now. This version paints Vlad the Impaler, aka Dracula, as the protector of his people and family. A basically – becoming a vampire in sacrifice in order to defeat his evil Turkish brother? Woah – things get a little wacky – but it was fun watching some vampire whoop-ass nonetheless.
Luke Evans makes a decent Dracula, but he’s better at Vlad – the good guy before the fangs kicked in.
Not a bad production, the ding comes because of the bad story-line.
