Someone had to do it… make a movie about a formal British partying club. Yes, we all know that the British perfected the ‘boys club’ institution, but ‘The Riot Club’ takes this notion down to the level of Frat House and actually much worse. This is a club that is dedicated to debauchery at all costs, and this movie chronicles one night of especially bad behavior, all the while rationalizing it by recounting tradition. There was some interesting character interplay – after all, the boys can get quite dramatic when they are four sheets to the wind – but mostly the movie doesn’t have a lot more than novel entertainment value.
A decent cast of fake drunks.
