BrianSez's Review

Summary - Great 4.0

Erratic but intriguing… Birdman is a heady piece about the thespian ego as played out by the insecure Birdman. Famous but past his prime, leading an almost cliche troupe of narcissistic, equally insecure, and all around quirky characters. The NYC theater vibe is ever present and provides a perfect backdrop for the character studies – which are marvelous. Well done by an all around top-notch cast: Michael Keaton (with the not so subtle Batman tie-in), Emma Stone, Zach Galifianakis, Naomi Watts, and one of my favorites: Andrea Riseborough. Embrace your inner thespian and enjoy.
