Wick's Review
Summary -
OK
2.5
Aloha never coheres for Cameron Crowe, nor for stars Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone & Rachel McAdams. Plus the whole thing’s too clever by half, including Stone playing a character last name of Ng. Um, right.
Crowe is apparently just another haole who got discombobulated by Aloha. Whitey.

Bradley Cooper is always watchable, even when his material isn’t up to snuff. That’s why he’s a moviestar.
Emma Stone fares less well as a hotshot fighter-jock with a wild-side. She only barely pulls it off.
- Rachel McAdams is fine as the third wheel, which is basically her moviestar ceiling.
- Bill Murray nicely underplays a tech billionaire who turns about to be a bit too entitled.
- John Krasinski way underplays an emotionally stunted guy. It works.
- Danny McBride is wasted as a compromised Air Force officer.
- Alec Baldwin rocks as a pissed-off General.
