At long last, my wife and I sat down to see a Wick recommendation that had been in my queue. Truth is stranger than fiction, and truth in the 1700’s was even stranger – especially when it came to the tumultuous lives of royalty. This movie has it all: the crazy king, the scheming court, the voice of reason, and of course, the Royal Affair. A well done period-piece without the boredom. There’s something always going on with this movie, so even those of you who wouldn’t normally go for such a film won’t be disappointed – even with subtitles…
