Summary - OK 2.5

Director Oliver Stone tried too hard with Alexander. It tried to be a monumental epic, but in the end just felt too long and drawn out, with too much inward facing drama and not enough about the battles between great armies and the politics it must have taken to conquer all those lands. It did have its moments though. After all, with a cast consisting of Colin Ferrell, Angelina Jolie, Val Kilmer, Christopher Plummer, Anthony Hopkins, and other greats.
