In the Heart of the Sea shows off exactly why I love Ron Howard so much. He knows exactly how to mix story with experience in a way that engrosses you from the start. This telling of Herman Melville’s tale is good enough, I’d actually think about hiding its existence from kids until they have been made to read ‘Moby Dick’. Throw in Chris Hemsworth and a stand-up cast, and you’ve got yourself great entertainment.
