As other reviews have mentioned, this isn’t a western, it’s a set of classic Tarantino character studies set in the Wild West. And wild it is; not from an action perspective, but from a character perspective. And that’s the point of the movie. Lots of funny quote-able moments on this entertaining wild Tarsntino ride.
Acting - Really Great 4.5
You can’t get a more fitting cast for this type of movie: Samuel L Jackson’s bravado, Kurt Russell’s smooth control, Jennifer Jason Leigh’s gritty chick, Bruce Dern’s tough-old-geezer, and Tim Roth’s upper-crust approach to being low-brow.
