BrianSez's Review

Summary - Very Good 3.5

The tragic story of Christine Chubbock, a News reporter in 70’s who killed herself on live TV, this movie has an ambitious goal of keeping our increasingly ADD viewing focused on Christine’s life and what led her to make such a horrible decision. It is easy to understand why, but at the same time you are left feeling that her actions weren’t commensurate with what she was dealing with. And that ladies and gentlemen is the mystery of mental health. True story: I didn’t know what the movie was about until 3/4 of the way in. The fact that I was riveted without knowing the ending in advance speaks a lot to the quality of this movie, which for effect, ends with the opening to Mary Tyler Moore’s ’You’re going to make it after all’…
