BrianSez's Review

Summary - Very Good 3.5

Spike Jonez has a bang of a directorial debut with BJM. The film has that ‘made to be a cult film feel’ where the circumstances are sarcastically unreal and a great cast keeps a straight face through the wackiness. John Cusack, Cameron Diaz, and Catherine Keener are excellent as eccentric or just plain out-there characters, and John Malkovich is literally along for the ride. It won’t do much good to try to explain the plot, just enjoy the ‘huh?’ inspired laughs.

Great pickup Jason. I remember being dazzled by BJM when it came out.
