Summary - Pretty Bad 1.5

One might think Raquel Welch would be in at least several scenes of Bedazzled, given her prominence – ahem – in the poster. You’d be wrong. Thrusting her benchmark boobs into Dudley Moore’s face, with only a bikini top in the way, she looks very big in the poster. Very big. Yet Raquel – #2 Hottest Woman of All Time, per Men’s Health – appears in just two over-the-top scenes, not nearly enough to rescue this comedy.

Swinging London in the Swinging Sixties was a momentous time in the hedonization of post-modern society. But it’s aged poorly, especially given the infantile comedy of Dudley Moore and Peter Cook.

10 was hardly a 10. Bedazzled ain’t even a 2.

Acting - Good 3.0

Film - Pretty Bad 1.5

Peter Cook & Dudley Moore wrote the screenplay.

They got the immortal Stanley Donen to direct it, a mistake for him.

Charade it’s not, nor Singin’ in the Rain, not even Funny Face. Not even close.
