Tom Cruise more than keeps the franchise alive, I think he’s raised the bar on any franchise trying for longevity. Sure, there are some slow spots, and you can hardly call the story progression novel – but who cares. You’ll get what you want: top notch action from Mr. ageless. Bring on Top Gun!
