Pretty much a long episode of the show, but that’s not a bad thing. Full of laugh-out-loud humor and quotable lines. It’s a shame it took so long for this one to get made.
The voice talents everyone recognizes were all involved, good consistency with the show.
Obviously there was a bigger budget than the average episode, and it really showed. The animation was actually stepped up for the film, with more work put into rendering the illusion of 3-D space. It looked very nice.
A surprise bit of nudity is the only thing the movie had that the show doesn’t. Violence level is the same and the language is nothing that can’t be aired on broadcast TV,
Come on, it’s The Simpsons, the world of Springfield doesn’t work like the real world because it’s a parody of the real world. Everything is exaggerated for comedic effect, and it works.
