Wick's Review
Summary -
Good
3.0
Jennifer Garner ably leads an action movie, convincingly playing an avenging mother who takes down an LA-based drug cartel and the corrupt law enforcement officers on their payroll. Will this be enough for the studio to order a sequel? Probably not, but it’s enough to be entertained by Peppermint.

Jennifer Garner is a great star, not just charismatic but compelling in genres from soft to hard. She starts soft here as a harried wife and mother, and then turns very hard after a drug-gang kills her family. Her Riley North character is therefore kinda sequel worthy, but not tremendously sequel worthy.
- John Gallagher Jr. is rather wan as a homicide detective.
- John Ortiz is always interesting, here as another homicide detective.
- Annie Ilonzeh jumps offscreen as a savvy FBI agent.
