Summary - Great 4.0
Just saw the Golden Compass and on the whole it was a very good movie with solid storytelling and great performances by all the main characters, especially Dakota Blue Richards, the little girl, who’s character was very, very resourceful. I think that the movie could have been longer in order to dive deeper into the storyline some more, but it did lay a good groundwork for things to come. If you can look past all of this religious jargon that other people on this site are spewing, I would recommend this film. One final thing though….think of this movie as the Fellowship of the Ring, and that will make you understand the ending better..
