WordSlinger's Review

Summary - OK 2.5

Not bad considering Harrison Ford’s age, but becomes a little convoluted in the middle. An interesting plot, but a misleading one. Harrison Ford’s character built an uncrackable Firewall for a bank, and then is forced to crack it when is family is held hostage.

Acting - Great 4.0

As usual, Ford is great. Paul Bettney is okay as the villian.

Male Stars - Great 4.0

Female Stars - Great 4.0

Female Costars - Great 4.0

Male Costars - Great 4.0

Film - Great 4.0

Direction - Great 4.0

Dialogue - Great 4.0

Music - Great 4.0

Visuals - Great 4.0

Edge - Risqué 2.1

Violence is pretty significant, with characters being lit on fire and run over by cars, along with the usual shootings that are standard for action films. Language is comparable, but the movie is PG-13 so it’s nothing too severe.

Sex Innocent 1.1

Violence Brutal 3.0

Rudeness Salty 2.2

Reality - Natural 1.0

A fairly realistic action movie, given the complex technology it involves.

Circumstantial - Natural 1.0

Biological - Natural 1.0

Physical - Natural 1.0

    Regarding BrianSez’s Review
“A formulaic thriller which Harrison can do with a blindfold on, and the rest of us can turn away from for a while without risking missing anything critical.” – Classic. Great review.
